Overview of CO2 Spray Cleaning

CO2 spray cleaning uses a high-velocity stream of solid CO2 particles to clean parts and surfaces. This process is dry, meaning no moisture is introduced, which is crucial for cleaning moisture-sensitive components. Whether it’s removing oils, dust, or light debris, CO2 cleaning is an effective, environmentally responsible method that can be applied to various substrates, including plastics, metals, glass, and more. As industries continue to require greater precision and efficiency, CO2 cleaning technology adapts, offering cutting-edge solutions that meet the toughest cleaning demands.

AMP Gas Booster System

The AMP is a powerful and efficient gas booster system designed to amplify the pressure of CO₂ gas to higher levels, as controlled by an adjustable pressure switch. This system is ideal for applications requiring high-pressure CO₂, such as those used in the Omega™ or ChilAire™ series for precision cleaning or machining.

The AMP works by compressing low-pressure CO₂ gas (200–400 psig) using a series of gas booster pumps, boosting it to a high pressure range of 750–1100 psig. This high-pressure CO₂ can then be used to power other cleaning or machining systems that require a precise and consistent gas supply.

Key Features:

  • Pressure Amplification:
The AMP boosts low-pressure CO₂ gas (200–400 psig) to high pressure (750–1100 psig), ensuring a steady and reliable supply of CO₂ for precision cleaning and machining applications.

  • Simple Operation & Setup:
The AMP system is designed for ease of use, with straightforward installation and operation. The system consists of two internal components: a pneumatic drive and a gas CO₂ amplifier.

  • Pneumatic Drive:
The pneumatic drive uses a regulated clean, dry, compressed air (CDA) supply to power the gas amplifier pumps, ensuring consistent performance and minimal maintenance.

  • Progressive Gas Amplification:
The gas CO₂ pumps operate in series, progressively boosting the CO₂ gas pressure to the desired outlet level. This ensures an efficient and seamless increase in pressure without compromising the quality of the gas supply.
